DTCP Withdraws Order To Cancel Licence Of MRG Skyline Sector 106 Gurugram

The Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) has overturned its decision to cancel the project licence for an affordable housing project MRG Skyline in Sector 106.

Following the cancellation of MRG Skyline’s licence in November 2022, DTCP last week wrote to the police requesting an FIR against the developer for violation of norms. According to department officials, the cancellation order was withdrawn after the developer, KN Infracon Private Limited, paid the required fee.

It was granted permission to build an affordable housing colony on 10 acres in 2020. The licence was revoked in November 2022 after Manipura Commercial Private Limited filed a complaint.

KN Infracon applied on June 15, 2020, to convert its 2010 licence for a group housing colony into an affordable housing colony. However, it was no longer the land owner then; on October 23, 2019, KN Infracon sold it to Truetrust Analytics Pvt Ltd.

The licence cancellation order was withdrawn after DTCP considered the review application filed by KN Infracon and MRG Castle, according to a new order issued on February 24. The developer has paid the required fees, and the action taken by the department based on its earlier order is rescinded.

DTCP had revoked the project licence due to two serious allegations. The first was irregular in converting KN Infracon’s group housing licence into an affordable housing scheme because DTCP was in the dark about the project land’s ownership.

The builder was also accused of selling its licenced land to another developer as agricultural land, causing the state exchequer to lose money. According to KN Infracon’s response to the department, the original licence issued in 2010 was revoked by DTCP in November 2012 and restored in October 2020.

There was no licence on the aforesaid land when the sale deed was executed in October 2019, so the sale deed was executed with the property being considered agricultural land.

After obtaining all necessary documents and permissions from the departments involved, the construction at Skyline is moving ahead of schedule. We encourage all homebuyers to double-check the information with us because we have nothing to hide.
