The Municipal Corporation Manesar (MCM) will make the city’s first eco-tourism botanical park in Kasan village in Haryana’s Gurugram district, officials announced on Friday. The civic body has identified approximately 50 acres of land in the village for this purpose.

The park botanical will be developed under the ‘Divya Nagar Scheme’, that will be located near the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway, as per the officials. Applications have been invited from consulting firms under contract with the Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), they added.

The 50-Acre Ecotourism Botanical Park Will Be Built In Kasan Village

According to officials, the MCM has taken the initiative to advance Manesar’s tourism industry. They added that a large forest area will be created in the park, as well as an artificial lake modelled after Chandigarh and Karnal.

“The first ever ecotourism park will be built on 50 acres of land in Kasan village Gurugram. “A tender has been opened to develop and design the botanical park,” said Ajay Nirala, Executive Engineer, Horticulture, Municipal Corporation of Manesar.

The state government approved a new policy for the development of eco-tourism at a cabinet meeting in Chandigarh in January.
