The Haryana government plans to build a 9 km long expressway to connect AIIMS’ National Cancer Institute at Bhadsa, Jhajjar, with the Dwarka Expressway. The route will connect to the highway via Sector-102, Gurgaon.
The state government intends to purchase approximately 98.6 acres of private land and 3.7 acres of panchayat land for the completion of the project, which will span six villages in Gurugram and Jhajjar.
After consulting with farmers, it will decide a fixed per acre rate for the land acquisition. So far, it has secured permission from farmers to acquire 78.2 acres of land, or around 76.4 percent of the total area required.
The six-lane road is projected to begin from AIIMS in Bhadsa and conclude at Sector-102, passing via Iqbalpur, Makrola, Budhera, Dhankot, and Kherki Majra. Land will be purchased in Kherki Majra (17.5 acres), Dhankot (13.4 acres), Budhera (24 acres), Makrola (35.6 acres), Iqbalpur (6.6 acres), and Bhadsa (five acres), in that order.
The project is projected to cost roughly Rs 272.1 crore, with land acquisition costing Rs 206.8 crore and road construction costing Rs 65.3 crore. The administrative authority for the road’s development was granted in May 2017.
People traveling from the city to AIIMS Jhajjar must currently traverse Badli Road from Basai, which is clogged owing to heavy traffic.
