“MDH has purchased 20,236 square metres of land in Sector 18 Gurgaon for Rs 98 crore and another 1,000 square metres of land in Udyog Vihar in Gurgaon for Rs 22 crore.

According to the CRE Matrix, a real estate data analytics firm, Mahashian Di Hatti Private Ltd., also known as MDH, purchased two industrial plots in Gurgaon for Rs 120 crore.

“Increased demand for space take-up has been observed in the last two quarters against the backdrop of macroeconomic recovery,” Anshuman Magazine, Chairman & CEO – India, South East Asia, the Middle East, and Africa at CBRE, said.

In Quarter 3, the Delhi-NCR region had the highest share of leasing activity in the industrial and logistics sectors among India’s major cities.

“Overall leasing increased by 40% year on year in Quarter 3.” According to Magazine, “the Industrial and Logistics sector is expected to grow at a 12% annual rate, with total leasing in the range of 28 to 32 million square feet in 2022.”

Dharampal Gulati, also known as Mahashaya ji, founded the masala brand MDH. It has offices in Dubai and London and exports to over a hundred countries.

As part of their expansion program, MDH has established oversized, fully automatic manufacturing plants in Delhi, Gurgaon (Haryana)—three plants of spices, a papad and export unit—and Nagaur (Rajasthan)—two plants of methi and spices, and Sojat.Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), Amritsar, and Ludhiana have branches (Punjab).

In the first nine months of 2022, India’s top eight cities closed at least 68 land deals totaling 1,656 acres, up from 20 in the same period last year. Residential, retail, mixed-use, commercial, and warehouse developments are among those proposed.

Nearly 40 land deals totaling more than 590 acres were proposed for residential development in 2022 (January–September), including 147 acres for industrial and logistic parks and warehouses, 119 acres for data centres, 115 acres for mixed-use development, and 26 acres for commercial development, among others.
