The Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) intends to reconstruct Sector 29 as Guruguram’s central business district (CBD). This information was disclosed on Monday by HSVP officials.

According to authorities, HSVP possesses 100 acres of valuable property in this area that it feels may fetch a very high premium for its possession. According to those with knowledge of the situation, the authority plans to sell these 100 acres and build the necessary infrastructure in the area to generate revenue.

The 480-acre Sector 29 is situated next to Iffco Chowk and the Millennium City Centre Metro station, close to the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. According to the allowable floor area ratio (FAR), about 100 acres of these areas have already been built, and they include business and government offices, restaurants, and hotels.

Business centers are currently dispersed around the city along major thoroughfares. One such hub is Cyber Hub, which is situated between Golf Course Road and the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway on one side. Additional hubs may be found at Manesar, Udyog Vihar, Sohna Road, Golf Course Road, and NH 48.

The sector’s new master plan will outline the new roadways, social infrastructure, drainage system, and other items required to transform the area into a commercial business district. Nine months from the date of work award, the project must be finished.

The tender document states that during the monsoon, a new drainage scheme will eliminate waterlogging in this sector and the neighbourhoods. The area will have newly constructed roadways with subterranean utility services, as well as intersections including newly constructed bridges and amenities for non-motorized transportation.
