Increased investment in Dwarka Expressway is expected as a result of the Haryana government’s ambitious mixed-use project, Global City Gurugram, which is scheduled to be finished by October 2026.

It includes residential and commercial complexes, high-street retail spaces, Special Economic Zones (SEZs), high-tech industrial spaces, plotted developments, and self-sufficient and inclusive social infrastructure. Along the Dwarka Expressway’s suburbs, on 1080 acres in Sectors 36B, 37A, and 37B, an integrated city is being constructed.

Modern and smart city amenities including a multipurpose lawn, fitness centre, jogging park, beautiful water features, and roomy roadways will all be included in the project.

The multi-crore central business district is to be developed by the state-owned Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), which has assigned a Rs 940-crore tender for the construction of roads and other infrastructure facilities like water and electricity supply.

Global City Gurugram’s Role In Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC)

The first phase of the project’s construction has begun. With a possible investment of around $15 billion, Global City Gurugram is also positioned to be a significant development for the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).
