Haryana Is Looking To Invest Rs 1 Lakh Crore In The Global City Project In Gurugram

The Haryana government intends to invest Rs 1 lakh crore in the Global City project in Gurugram, which will span over 1,080 acres of land.

At a news conference here on Thursday, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who recently visited Dubai and secured financing for this project, said at a news conference here on Thursday that the project is being made by the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC).

With its sustainability-focused, future-oriented infrastructure planning and design, the Global City is similar to a mixed township being built across approximately 1,080 acres to redefine the concept of urban development.

Inclusion In The First Phase Of The Global City Project

The first phase has the objective of auctioning 250 acres of land by the end of November, while the remaining amount would be auctioned in stages, he said.

It will be planed a global city, with a total investment of over Rs 1 lakh crore. In connection with the project, four roadshows have been organised, including two in Gurugram and one each in Mumbai and Dubai “Khattar added that 13 major corporations have expressed interest in the project thus far.

Khattar stated that a single window system would be used to carry out all project-related tasks, and that all permissions would be granted through it.

Khattar stated that the state’s youth will now be able to find work abroad through Haryana Overseas Placement, which will be part of the state’s Foreign Cooperation Department.

He stated that during his vacation to Dubai, he met with numerous placement firms. The kids will be trained here and sent abroad for employment based on the needs of these placement organisations.

Masons and electricians are needed in the real estate sector, he added, adding that “we may send individuals there after training them.”

Those families living below the poverty line and their unemployed children will be given priority, he said.

In response to a question, Khattar stated that investments into the state over the last six to seven years have resulted in the creation of 5.50 lakh jobs.

Can This Project Be A Destination For Investors?

New businesses are continually purchasing land in Haryana for investment purposes. According to him, Haryana has become a desirable investment destination for investors.

According to the Chief Minister, new projects are constantly being begun along the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) expressway, and the government will purchase land for new projects through e-bhoomi and the Land Pooling Policy.

He also stated that other projects like Global City would be proposed in the future. Meanwhile, Khattar announced the formation of a foundation for the establishment of a forest safari in Gurugram and Nuh districts extending over 10,000 acres in the Aravali range.

He stated that 6000 acres of land in Gurugram and 4000 acres in Nuh had been set aside for Jungle Safari.

Khattar has also recently visited Sharjah, which has the world’s largest curated safari park outside of Africa that will occupy over 2,000 acres of land.

According to the Chief Minister, the Central Zoo Authority has conducted an evaluation study of the region and has agreed on the technical feasibility of establishing such a park.

He stated that while building a jungle safari would help to preserve this mountain range, a large number of people from Delhi and surrounding areas would come here for tourism, creating numerous employment prospects for the locals.
