Ingka Centres, the sister company of IKEA, which sells home furnishings is to invest more than Rs 7,300 crore in two of its office and retail buildings in Gurgaon and Noida.
The Global furniture giant IKEA is all set to open city centre with a commercial mix in Gurgaon. The multi-use marketplace and meeting place to provide an excellent retail experience.
The corporation, with its headquarters in Sweden, officially began building retail and office space in Gurgaon on Tuesday. The new IKEA-anchored gathering place, as Ingka Centres likes to refer to it, would cover 1.7 million square feet and cost Rs 3,500 crore to construct.
When Do We Expect To Start The Shopping And Entertainment Complex
The first meeting place in India, Ingka Centres, a subsidiary of the Ingka Group (which also includes IKEA Retail and Ingka Investments), is scheduled to debut by the end of 2025.
The centre will offer a comprehensive retail selection, centred on IKEA and including a mix of international and local brands, as well as edutainment learning spaces and food and beverage options.
IKEA currently has five retail stores in the country and plans to open two more in Gurgaon and Noida to meet the growing demand for home furnishings.
Amenities Include Those In The Ingka City Center
Over the retail area of the centre will be a 320,000 square foot office building. The organisation is preparing to open a similar facility in Noida, according to Jan Kristensson Ingka, Global Expansion & Development Director of Ingka Centres.
He claimed they had already chosen a site for the Center in Noida and that they would announce the Center’s construction there in six months.
The company is open to the notion of setting up more Ingka Centers in cities like Bengaluru and Mumbai, but it is not currently on the company’s immediate agenda. The Ingka Group currently runs 45 Ingka Centers throughout the world.
The Gurugram Center would have a total building area of over 17 lakh square feet, distributed across nine levels, and would create about 2,500 employments, the business stated in a statement.
