On Monday, Egis Rail Group was declared the sole bidder for the GGNCCDD-01 Detailed Design Consultant contract for Gurgaon Metro’s 28.5 km line connecting HUDA City Centre and Cyber City.
This elevated new corridor will connect Gurugram and Old Gurugram with 27 stations. The Haryana Cabinet approved the project’s final Detailed Project Report (DPR) in August 2020, at a cost of Rs. 6821.13 crores.
Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Ltd (HMRTC) invited bids for this consultancy contract in June 2022, with a budget of Rs. 17.68 crore and a deadline of 1440 days.

The Scope Of The New Cyber City Metro Line
Detail Design Consultant DDC for Civil Architectural and E and M works of Elevated Section 28.5 KM with 27 Stations Main Corridor from HUDA City Centre to Cyber City Gurgaon of Gurgaon Metro Project, including six interchange stations.
If HMRTC is not satisfied with a single bid, this package will be retendered. If they are, Egis’ bid will be sent for technical evaluation, which could take several months.
If Egis qualifies, and they should, their financial bid will be opened to see if it falls within a certain range of the budgeted estimate for a contract to be awarded.
What Is The Deadline For The Project
The official DPR has yet to be made public, so details about the line’s funding sources, depot location, construction suggestions (U-girder or segmental box girder), and train operational plan, among other things, remain unknown.
The line will run alongside the Dwarka Expressway in New Gurgaon, which is scheduled to open in December 2022. It will likely have an interchange with the 106 km Delhi-SNB RRTS line at Udyog Vihar, in addition to the Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line and Gurgaon’s Rapid Metro.
Egis Is Likely To Give Design Consultancy For The Metro Rail Corridor In Gurgaon
The route will cover Sector 45, Sector 47, Sector 48, Cyber Park, Subhash Chowk, Hero Honda Chowk, Udyog Vihar, Palam Vihar Extension, and Udyog Vihar phase 4, and 5.
In the year 2020, the state cabinet approved the Metro Extension project and sent DPR and other supporting documents to the center. But, the project is approved because of pending clarifications from the Institute of Urban Transport.

February 2021- DPR, CMP, AAR forwarded to MoHUA for approval
September 2021- MoHUA raises observations on DPR
November 2021- Revised DPR approved by Haryana CM, forwarded to MoHUA once again.
May 2022- Secretary, MoHUA assured metro sanctioning will be expedited
June 2022- DPR, CMP, AAR, handed to MoHUA for circulation to other ministries approved by PIB.
August 2022- Egis bids for Gurugram Metro Rail Corridor from Huda City Centre to Cyber City line
